Claims
Territory protection for Season 8. Claims guard your builds and a feather tells you who owns what.
How it works. A claim is a piece of protected land. The blocks inside it are safe from outsiders. Check the land you stand on anytime with /vclaims.
Checking territory
/vclaimsshows the claim you are standing in and its sizeIn unclaimed land it tells you so, and reminds you that you can right-click any block with a feather to inspect the territory.
Feather inspection

- Size: every claim is 50x50 blocks.
- Overworld only: claims cannot exist in the Nether or the End.
- Distance from spawn: claims must be at least 250 blocks from world spawn.
- Spacing: claims must stay at least 25 blocks apart.
What claims protect
- Blocks placed by an owner can only be broken by that owner or their team.
- Blocks placed by outsiders on a claim vanish after 120 seconds.
- Bedrock, obsidian, crying obsidian and respawn anchors cannot be placed on a foreign claim.
- Explosions, pistons pushing across borders, fire spreading, and entities changing blocks are blocked on claims.
