TagTeams
Teams and territory claims for Season 8. Team up with friends, claim a fixed 50x50 plot of land, and build somewhere no one can tear down.
Creating a team
Creating a team is the only way to get a claim, so you need a valid spot before anything else. All of this is checked automatically. If a requirement fails, nothing is charged.
/teams create <tag>alias /t, creates a team and places its claim where you stand- Tag: 3 to 5 letters or numbers. No profanity. Tags are checked against a blacklist automatically.
- Cost: 8 diamonds (removed from your inventory).
- Overworld only: teams cannot be created in the Nether or the End.
- Distance from spawn: at least 250 blocks away from world spawn.
- Distance from other teams:at least 25 blocks away from any existing claim's boundary.
- Cooldown: 1 hour between team creations.
When creation succeeds, the fixed 50x50 claim is placed instantly at your location. There is no separate claim step. No valid claim spot means no team.
Joining a team
Joining requires a valid invite. You cannot join a team on your own.
/teams invite <player>Leaders and Managers only, invites expire after 60 seconds/teams join <tag>accept an invite, costs 1 golden apple- The invited player must be online and must not already be in a team.
- An invite is only valid for the team it was sent for, and expires after 60 seconds.
- Joining costs 1 golden apple.
Ranks & permissions
Leader
Create, disband, kick anyone, promote/demote, transfer leadership, invite, manage allies, and change the team tag color.
Manager
Invite players, kick regular members (not other Managers), and manage allies.

Leaving & disbanding
/teams leaveleave your team, if the Leader leaves, leadership passes to the earliest member/teams disbandLeader only, deletes the team and frees the claim- There is a 30 second cooldown before you can join or create another team.
- The last member cannot leave. They must disband the team instead.
- Disbanding removes the claim entirely, so the land becomes claimable again.
Allies
Each team can have one ally. Alliances are mutual: one team sends the request, the other team accepts it.
/teams ally <tag>send or accept an ally request, requests expire after 60 seconds/teams unallybreak the allianceChat
/tc <message>team chat, visible to your teammates only/ac <message>ally chat, visible to your team and your allyClaims - how they work
Claims are the core of the plugin. Every team owns one fixed 50x50 claim that protects the build inside it.
- Fixed size: every claim is 50x50 blocks, placed at team creation. Claims never grow and never move.
- Overworld only: claims exist only in the Overworld, never in the Nether or End.
- Spacing: claims must stay 250 blocks away from spawn and 25 blocks away from each other.
- Viewing: /teams claimshows your claim's world, center and boundaries (view only).
What claims protect
- Your team can build and break freely inside your own claim.
- Blocks placed by your team can only be broken by your team.
- Blocks placed by outsiders on your claim disappear after 120 seconds. They get a warning when placing them.
- Obsidian, bedrock, crying obsidian and respawn anchors cannot be placed on another team's claim at all. They are denied instantly.
- Explosions (TNT, creepers, beds, respawn anchors) do not damage a claim unless the attacking player is on the owning team.
- Pistons cannot push or pull blocks across claim borders.
- Fire cannot be ignited or spread on a claim, and blocks cannot burn.
- Endermen and other entities cannot pick up or change blocks on a claim.
What claims do NOT protect
- Interactions: chests, doors, buttons and other containers can be opened by anyone. Claims only protect blocks from being broken or placed.
- Water & lava: buckets are not blocked. Water griefing is part of raiding design.
- Players: PvP, stealing and raiding are untouched. A claim protects your build, not your items.
